Job Requirements

  • Completion of ServSafe Sanitation Certificate within 60 days of hire
  • Verbal and interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with peers and direct reports
  • Ability to work in a team environment interacting with various departments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses motivational and disciplinary skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of personal computers in a Windows environment
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, and business software
  • Ability to accurately review and process data and attend to detail
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships
  • Registered Dietitian license

  • Experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Windows operating system and business software
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to conduct performance evaluations and coach staff
  • Experience with budget management and purchasing coordination

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Understanding of HIPAA and privacy regulations

Job Duties

  • Actualizes ABM Healthcare mission, vision and value statements
  • Maintains professional behavior consistent with role and composure in difficult interpersonal situations
  • Promotes and develops customer service mindset with internal and external customers
  • Develops and monitors customer service improvement initiatives
  • Conducts and monitors employee training programs for compliance
  • Ensures HIPAA privacy and confidentiality of patient information
  • Coordinates patient and retail food service operations to ensure consistency
  • Oversees budget compliance and participates in budget processes
  • Monitors food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance including Health Department, CMS, and JCAHO
  • Develops and coaches department managers and staff
  • Drives total quality management and customer service initiatives
  • Prepares and submits facility reports and ensures quality board accuracy
  • Conducts performance evaluations for department managers
  • Orders food, supplies, and equipment within budget
  • Manages hiring, training, and employee file maintenance
  • Participates in professional meetings to stay current on best practices
  • Leads overall vision and department direction to achieve metrics
  • Responds to emergencies and adapts to changing workloads
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with client and corporate leadership
