Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to record observations and activities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Willingness to complete USDA Nutrition Assistant Training or WIC Nutrition Technician training if required
- Some positions may be safety sensitive as defined by state law
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to record observations and activities accurately
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Successful completion of USDA Nutrition Assistant Training or WIC Nutrition Technician training preferred
Job Duties
- Interview patients and take diet histories
- Review patient medical charts for dietetic and nutritional information
- Assist nutrition therapist in determining appropriate nutritional care of patients
- Give individual diet instructions to patients with normal and modified diets as directed
- Conduct classes on general nutrition and consumer education
- Participate in public information and educational activities regarding nutrition
- Maintain records and prepare reports
