Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to record observations and activities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Willingness to complete USDA Nutrition Assistant Training or WIC Nutrition Technician training if required
  • Some positions may be safety sensitive as defined by state law

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to record observations and activities accurately
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Successful completion of USDA Nutrition Assistant Training or WIC Nutrition Technician training preferred

Job Duties

  • Interview patients and take diet histories
  • Review patient medical charts for dietetic and nutritional information
  • Assist nutrition therapist in determining appropriate nutritional care of patients
  • Give individual diet instructions to patients with normal and modified diets as directed
  • Conduct classes on general nutrition and consumer education
  • Participate in public information and educational activities regarding nutrition
  • Maintain records and prepare reports
