Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food service operations
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to work 11:00 am to 7:30 pm including every fourth weekend and holiday rotations
  • ability to pass a background check
  • ability to undergo TB testing prior to employment
  • eligibility to work in the United States
  • willingness to complete a 12-month probationary period

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a leadership role such as mentoring, training, or leading workgroups
  • work experience with food production duties including cooking and following standardized recipes
  • experience with basic commercial food service equipment safety and operations such as ovens, steamers and dish machines
  • training or experience managing food service inventory like creating requisitions and ordering supplies
  • formal supervisory experience including conducting performance evaluations and administering discipline
  • experience with food service computer programs like Automate or CBORD
  • experience in long-term care or healthcare food service settings
  • experience developing and maintaining new menu and recipe items

Job Duties

  • oversee daily operations of patient meal service and CWC Bistro
  • ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
  • manage food service employees including mentoring and training
  • maintain inventory and order food supplies
  • operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment
  • handle administrative tasks related to food service operations
  • deliver excellent customer service to residents and staff
