Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in food service or related area
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to maintain vision standards including depth perception and color vision
  • Willingness to adhere to sanitation and food safety guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must report to work as scheduled and on time
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent experience
  • One year of similar or related experience
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Capability to file, post, mail materials, and provide basic guidance and direction
  • Excellent hospitality skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner regardless of location in the store
  • Learn customers' names and address them when possible
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions
  • Answer telephone promptly and provide helpful customer service including product orders
  • Collaborate with coworkers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Review daily production lists and assign tasks
  • Ensure food display cases are rotated and replenished
  • Scan kitchen area for issues and assign tasks to staff
  • Manage staffing levels to meet customer needs
  • Oversee food quality and presentation across multiple food departments
  • Manage inventory and work with chefs on menu planning and supply purchasing
  • Estimate food and beverage costs and supervise portion control to minimize waste
  • Conduct quality checks for preparation and service
  • Set department standards for customer service, cleanliness, sanitation, appearance, and profitability
  • Analyze sales data and prepare advertising and marketing plans
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints
  • Arrange maintenance and repairs
  • Manage menu selection, pricing, hiring, training, and scheduling of personnel
  • Enforce sanitary practices and follow food safety guidelines
  • Handle and resolve customer issues and maintain work area cleanliness
  • Adhere to company policies and work schedules
  • Assume supervisory duties in absence of higher management
  • Assist other store areas as needed
  • Ensure competitive pricing
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
  • Instruct, assign, and coordinate employees' work
  • Maintain standards and allocate personnel effectively
