Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related experience in food service
  • Sanitation or food safety coursework encouraged
  • Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Visual acuity with or without correction including depth perception and color vision
  • Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to noise, cool environments, and cleaning chemicals
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Adherence to company policies and punctual attendance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of similar or related food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong hospitality skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Comfortable performing arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Ability to file, post, mail materials, copy data, interview for basic information, and guide people
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting customer suggestions
  • Answer telephone promptly and take product orders
  • Work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Review daily production list and assign tasks
  • Ensure food display case is rotated and replenished
  • Oversee quality and presentation for all food departments
  • Manage inventory for food departments
  • Collaborate with chefs on menu planning and supply purchasing
  • Estimate food and beverage costs
  • Supervise portion control to minimize waste
  • Conduct frequent quality checks
  • Set department standards for customer service, cleanliness, employee relations, and profitability
  • Analyze sales and trends and prepare ad projections
  • Plan marketing, advertising, and special functions
  • Monitor staff and customer adherence to health and safety standards
  • Resolve complaints concerning food quality and service
  • Arrange maintenance and repair of equipment
  • Select and price menu items
  • Direct hiring, training, and scheduling of staff
  • Enforce sanitary practices and food safety guidelines
  • Handle customer issues professionally
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and work schedules
