Job Requirements

  • high school or equivalent experience required
  • sanitation or food safety courses encouraged
  • minimum one year of similar or related experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • ability to see with or without correction at various distances including depth perception and color vision
  • willingness to comply with food safety guidelines and company policies
  • availability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • successful completion of pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • sanitation or food safety courses encouraged
  • one year of similar or related experience
  • excellent hospitality skills
  • ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • ability to do arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • ability to file, post, mail, copy data, and provide guidance

Job Duties

  • provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name
  • assists customers by escorting them to products, securing products out of reach, loading/unloading items, passing along customer suggestions
  • answers telephone and takes product orders
  • works with co-workers as a team
  • reviews daily production list and assigns tasks
  • ensures food display case product rotation and replenishment
  • scans kitchen for needed tasks and assigns to staff
  • ensures proper staffing
  • oversees food quality and presentation
  • oversees inventory
  • plans menus with chefs
  • manages purchasing and provisioning
  • estimates food and beverage costs
  • supervises portion control
  • performs quality checks
  • sets department standards
  • analyzes sales and prepares ads
  • plans marketing and special functions
  • monitors compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations
  • investigates customer complaints
  • arranges maintenance and repairs
  • selects menu items and sets prices
  • directs hiring, training and scheduling
  • enforces sanitation practices
  • follows food safety guidelines
  • handles customer issues
  • maintains cleanliness and professional appearance
  • adheres to company policies
  • reports to work on time
  • assumes supervisory duties in absence of department managers
  • assists in other store areas
