Job Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Complete criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Minimum education or experience as specified by state requirements
- Experience in leadership or supervision roles
- Experience managing food service operations
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Knowledge in nutrition and food preparation
- Ability to manage inventory
- Capacity to develop emergency meal provision plans
Job Qualifications
- Leadership or supervision experience including assigning, directing, evaluating work and providing training
- Experience managing a food service operation including master menus, standard recipes, production sheets and compliance evaluation
- Knowledge in food preparation, nutrition, and quality assessment including modified and medically restricted diets
- Ability to establish and review sanitation and safety standards
- Inventory management experience including food supplies, material and equipment
- Experience developing plans for emergency provision of meals
Job Duties
- Assist the Food Service Administrator in managing the Food Service Program
- Provide direct supervision, training and evaluation of Correction Food Service Leader 2s and 3s and PIOC workers
- Assign, train and direct work of staff including Correctional Officers in the kitchen
- Oversee production and distribution of approximately 3,500 meals per day
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards
- Manage day-to-day operations within the Food Service Department
- Assume overall responsibility in the absence of the Food Service Administrator
