Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • current Food Manager Certificate accepted by the Texas Department of State Health Services
  • two years of food service experience preferred
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand instructions in English
  • ability to plan, coordinate and produce work efficiently
  • computer literate
  • ability to handle money efficiently
  • effective communication skills with administrators, teachers and parents

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily food preparation
  • manage meal service and kitchen clean-up
  • uphold food safety and sanitation policies
  • supervise Food and Nutrition Services personnel
  • coordinate with vendors and manage inventory
  • ensure accurate record-keeping and cash handling
  • provide leadership and training to kitchen staff
