Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of relevant culinary service experience
  • Ability to learn and operate computer software and point of sale systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to use good judgment in problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Experience with food preparation techniques and event cooking
  • Ability to inventory food and supplies and perform calculations
  • Ability to operate food service equipment
  • Ability to work independently and lead daily culinary service activities
  • Availability to work varied shifts including every other weekend and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in culinary or food customer service work
  • Ability to learn and operate computer software and point of sale systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with food preparation techniques and event cooking or meal planning
  • Ability to inventory food and supplies and perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests
  • Ability to operate onsite food service equipment
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Additional education or experience in culinary services preferred

Job Duties

  • Independently and effectively lead and oversee daily culinary service operations
  • Maintain food handling and sanitation standards to meet licensing requirements
  • Resolve customer problems and support staff development in customer service skills
  • Inventory food and supplies while managing ordering and production within budget
  • Prepare food items according to production forecasts and recipes
  • Work in service and preparation areas while resolving minor issues with patient menus and meal service
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas as needed
