Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in food service or culinary operations
  • Ability to learn and operate computer software, email, and point-of-sale systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and event cooking
  • Ability to inventory food and supplies accurately
  • Skill in counting money and performing basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to operate all onsite food service equipment
  • Ability to learn and comply with food handling regulations and pass required certification tests
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess or obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working at specific Banner Behavioral Health or Olive Branch Senior Center locations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One or more years of experience in food service or culinary operations
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and customer service
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems and computer software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train and lead staff
  • Experience with inventory control and food cost management
  • Familiarity with food handling regulations and certification requirements
  • Preferred supervisory experience and additional culinary education or training

Job Duties

  • Lead and oversee daily culinary service operations during assigned shifts
  • Maintain food handling and sanitation standards to comply with licensing requirements
  • Resolve customer service issues and train staff in customer interaction skills
  • Manage inventory, order food supplies, and control food production to adhere to budget limits
  • Prepare food items according to production forecasts and standardized recipes
  • Operate various food service equipment and maintain cleanliness of work and service areas
  • Coordinate food service for catered events and participate in billing and reporting
  • Communicate effectively with management, customers, and staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Participate in department meetings and training sessions to support continuous improvement
