Job Duties
- Providing personalized meal service to hospital patients
- assisting patients with meal selection
- serving meals to patients
- clearing soiled and used trays from patients
- stocking nursing unit pantries with supplies
- taking meal carts to and from patient floors
- breaking down meal carts
- performing side work duties assigned by management
- serving cafeteria customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- stocking various areas in the cafeteria
- maintaining general sanitation
- assisting other cafeteria and patient service staff as needed
- recording safe food temperatures and refrigeration temperatures
- working with management to ensure smooth operation and quality control
