Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
high school diploma or equivalent is required
prior experience in delicatessen or food service management, or a minimum of 2 years in restaurant operations
excellent communication skills
self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for extended periods up to 4 hours
physical ability to bend, squat, lift, climb, push, pull, and walk as required
proficient in basic math and computer skills including Word, Excel, and Email
ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
must hold a certified food safety manager certification
bilingual in English and Spanish is a bonus
flexible availability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
open to receive coaching on work performance and habits
must be a team player and maintain good rapport with colleagues

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
certified food safety manager certification
prior experience in delicatessen or food service management or a minimum of 2 years in restaurant operations

ability to work independently
proficient in basic math and computer skills including Word, Excel, and Email

Job Duties

Greet and engage guests upon entry to create a welcoming atmosphere
assist in interviewing, training, and scheduling kitchen staff, while monitoring their performance
maintain clear communication throughout the kitchen team
foster a positive and high-spirited work environment
exhibit effective leadership by managing time and delegating tasks appropriately
contribute to achieving financial goals and executing company programs
ensure high-quality food availability and respond to guest needs
safeguard department assets by following company policies and procedures
promote safe work practices and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
ensure consistency in following department systems and processes
collaborate with department leadership to plan production and promotional goals
coach and develop team members in alignment with company standards
update books and manuals to keep kitchen operations informed
assist with coordinating the inventory process and reporting
handle departmental responsibilities in the absence of the Department Manager, including ordering and prioritizing tasks
ensure adherence to Food Safety Procedures
perform accurate inventory checks every trimester
keep the kitchen in optimal operational and cleanliness standards
manage conflict effectively among team members
fulfill other duties as assigned by upper management
