Job Requirements
- Valid California driver’s license

- ability to perform moderate physical exertion including lifting 50 pounds
- ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively
- ability to meet schedules and deadlines
- ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of food service experience or equivalent
- knowledge of district policies and procedures
- understanding of methods and practices of food service involving food preparation, serving and clean-up
- ability to operate food service equipment safely
- strong oral and written communication skills
- interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
Job Duties
- Perform a variety of food service tasks
- assist in the preparation and serving of school meal program in compliance with federal and state regulations
- assist in maintaining a clean, orderly work area
- assist in inventory, stocking of food service supplies, and equipment
- assist in packaging and delivery of meals
- assist in the service of meals to students and staff
- operate a variety of food-related equipment and machines
