  • ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients and other hospital personnel
  • ability to problem-solve in a customer service environment

Job Duties

  • Coordinate, lead, and assist Food Service Representatives who prepare food or beverages
  • set up patient trays
  • deliver patient trays
  • obtain patient menu selections
  • handle retail transactions
  • operate dishwashing machines and clean kitchen area
  • communicate between nursing units, patients, and Food Service Department regarding patient menus, diet changes, and services
  • assist supervisors and leads in daily patient services operations
  • conduct daily rounds on patients to ensure meal and service standards are met
  • document patient feedback and enter rounds into software
  • perform service recovery as needed
  • assist with onboarding and training of new patient dining associates
