Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • four years of food handling, service or preparation or cashiering experience
  • two years of lead or supervisory experience
  • Food Handlers Card
  • ability to pass a criminal history background check
  • ability to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times
  • ability to travel between campuses
  • ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • ability to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and maintain concentration for prolonged periods

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • four years of food handling, service/preparation or cashiering experience
  • two years of lead/supervisory experience

Job Duties

  • work in a multifaceted role that requires changing roles as needed day to day from food service worker, cook, cashier and manager
  • perform all food service worker duties
  • support the Food Service Workers to ensure all opening and closing tasks are completed
  • work under minimal supervision
  • assist with operational oversight and training as needed
  • assist in the day-to-day activities of the site kitchen including preparing, serving, and replenishing food and drink
  • assist in preparing and cooking foods including panning frozen food, cupping fruit, washing and bagging fruits and vegetables, baking foods, chopping salad items, monitoring food temperatures, preparing sandwiches
  • set up and stock work areas with necessary ingredients and equipment
  • monitor inventory levels, order food and supply items, ensure food and supplies are rotated and stored safely
  • order and receive food products as required
  • assist manager in verifying and monitoring HACCP procedures including temperature, sanitizer and storage logs
  • maintain courteous, respectful relationships with students, staff and parents
  • comply with company policies regarding safety, security, and emergencies
  • perform other duties related to general job functions as assigned
  • work closely with school administrators, parents and children to resolve issues and provide customer service
  • perform all other duties of similar nature or level
