Job Requirements
- must possess an active secret security clearance
- ability to obtain us ts/sci w/poly level clearance if required
- minimum of thirteen years experience in food services or equivalent
- experience working in challenging food service environments
- ability to maintain serve-safe standards
- work in fast-paced kitchen environment
- stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- associate’s degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience
- minimum of seven years as an executive chef in large food service operations
- over ten years of total experience in food services
- proven leadership and team development skills
- certification in Serve-Safe or equivalent food safety training
- experience in cafeteria-style or multi-entree food service environments
- ability to create innovative and high-quality menus
Job Duties
- plan and develop menus that meet quality and customer approval standards
- oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with recipes and safety standards
- manage ordering and inventory to maintain product availability
- supervise and train kitchen and food service staff
- monitor food and labor costs to achieve budget targets
- ensure adherence to Serve-Safe and other regulatory food safety protocols
- coordinate all aspects of kitchen and dining area operations to maintain smooth service flow
