Job Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate a truck and other related equipment
  • Physical ability to lift at least 75 pounds and carry items, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to schedules
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a truck to transport food, supplies, and equipment to and from schools, kitchens, and network
  • Accurately load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securement of food and supplies
  • Deliver items to designated locations according to a predetermined schedule, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Maintain the delivery vehicle in a clean and safe operating condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues
  • Assist with food preparation, portioning, serving, and restocking serving lines during meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness of food storage areas, serving lines, and the delivery vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with food service staff and supervisors regarding deliveries, schedules, and any issues
  • Adhere to all safety standards, including safe driving practices and proper food handling procedures
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, which may include tasks like assisting with special events or cleaning duties
