Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of institutional food service experience
- Current Food Service Manager certificate from the State of Florida
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Experience working in an institution or jail setting
- Successful completion of background and drug screening
- Subject to sex offender check and criminal background checks
- Valid driver’s license if required
- Ability to comply with state and local regulations
- Must support a drug-free workplace

Job Duties
- Plan menus and food utilization based on anticipated number of guests, nutritional value, palatability, popularity, and costs
- Organize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, hire new staff, and evaluate employee performance
- Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation
- Estimate food and beverage consumption to anticipate amount to be purchased or requisitioned
- Monitor food preparation and methods, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure quality
- Monitor budget, payroll records, and financial transactions to ensure authorized expenditures
- Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
