Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow safety protocols on the road and during loading or unloading
  • Ability to adhere to food safety regulations
  • Capacity to lift, bend, push, pull, walk and stand for extended periods
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hospital safety policies

Job Duties

  • Deliver patient meal carts and snacks to the correct location and within the designated time window
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations regarding sanitation, food handling, and storage
  • Communicate effectively with food service department and healthcare facility staff
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in patient-facing interactions
  • Follow hospital policies and best practices for safety, including while loading and unloading
  • Solve problems and think on your feet to address delivery challenges
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in other kitchen areas
