Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Minimum six months of recent experience driving a 26-foot box truck
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to back into loading docks
- Ability to load and unload a box truck using push and lift methods
- Ability to climb into the box truck
- Ability to operate lift gates
- Ability to unload containers and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds
- Kitchen supervisory skills
- Ability to stand and be on feet for most of the shift when not driving
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, and walking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in delivering products or inventory preferred
- Valid state driver's license for assigned vehicles
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to transport and set up food and food service items
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic rules
- Strong team orientation
Job Duties
- Driving a company box truck along an established route on facility grounds
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and delivering goods to routed locations
- Supervising inmates in the kitchen to ensure recipes are followed properly
- Checking food temperatures and inventory
- Sanitizing kitchen areas and performing other kitchen duties as required
- Learning the delivery area to ensure timely deliveries
- Checking orders for quality and accuracy
- Following proper delivery procedures
- Assisting with food preparation, serving, and kitchen maintenance
- Receiving food and supply deliveries and restocking
- Transferring supplies and equipment by hand or cart
- Gathering supplies as detailed on production sheets
- Maintaining and cleaning the company vehicle
- Reporting vehicle maintenance or repairs
- Performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Performing other related duties as assigned
