Job Requirements
- One year food service experience
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions

- One year food service experience
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Knowledge of common diet modifications preferred
- One year experience as a cook in hospital food service or restaurant preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares various types of hot foods, baked items, sandwiches, and other short order items following production sheets and approved recipes
- Prepares modified diet foods for all outlets
- Performs various types of cooking and baking operations using standard kitchen equipment such as stoves, ovens, broilers, and microwave ovens
- Ensures food is prepared using proper quality control (HACCP) and sanitation standards
- Distributes food to appropriate locations
- Works independently given proper directions
- Cleans and maintains standard kitchen equipment used in food preparation
- Ensures food preparation areas are cleaned and sanitized
- Labels, dates, and stores leftover foods properly
- Completes food temperature checks and maintains logs
- Practices proper safety techniques and reports equipment malfunctions or unsafe conditions promptly
