Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • At least one year of direct employment related experience
  • Must have a valid Montana driver's license
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  • Availability to participate in required training programs
  • Commitment to maintaining good attendance and punctuality

  • Ability to adhere to CACFP guidelines and food safety protocols
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to participate in mandatory training and certification programs

Job Duties

  • Plan menus according to CACFP nutrition guidelines and reimbursement requirements
  • Shop for meals and snacks as directed
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized prep and cooking area at all times
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch and snack serve to classrooms
  • Responsible for maintaining CACFP refrigerator/freezer temperature charts and food production logs
  • Responsible for cleaning the kitchens and daily dishes
  • Responsible for cleaning the bathrooms and taking out kitchen trash when the janitor is absent
  • Consistently follows universal health precautions
  • May be asked to cover lunch breaks for teachers if staff numbers are low
  • Reports to work at scheduled times and maintains good attendance
  • Perform all duties in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate with a positive attitude and behavior in all program activities
  • Participates in mandatory AWARE training, in-services, staff meetings, and corporate committees as assigned
  • Upon hiring, will undergo training and will be expected to pass testing in the following areas: First Aid/CPR, Blood-Borne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Food Handler, and Vehicle Operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned and reasonably within the scope of the duties listed above
