Job Requirements

  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • basic understanding of food preparation and cooking methods
  • willingness and ability to obtain food safety certification
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • commitment to following food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • experience as a cook or in a related role
  • knowledge of basic principles of food preparation and various cooking methods
  • understanding of food safety regulations including proper handling, sanitation, and storage
  • ability to obtain food safety certification
  • basic math and counting skills
  • strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical capability to handle lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • cooking and preparation of food items in accordance with production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • organizing the work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items for preparation
  • safely handling utensils and machinery such as knives, ovens, and cooking appliances
  • employing various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • establishing, embellishing, and sizing portions of food
  • adhering to food safety protocols for proper storage
  • sterilizing and cleaning workspaces, equipment, and tools
  • providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive demeanor
  • ensuring compliance with safety policies and food sanitation measures
  • protecting company assets
