Job Duties
- SUMMARY: The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritionally balanced meals for Elevate Academy
- This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control using standard recipes and also for appropriate quantities of food needed to meet menu requirements
- The Cook is also responsible for assisting with supervision of the students while they learn kitchen skills
- including but not limited to cleaning, sanitizing, and preparing meals
- Operate specialized foodservice equipment
- Assist in food production, service, and/or cleanup tasks as assigned
- Receive and unpack food and supplies
- Clean and maintain food service equipment and facilities
- Participate in ongoing professional training
- Observe safety and security procedures

- Understand and comply with all USDA child nutrition programs and the State of Idaho Department of Education Requirements for child nutrition
- Attend to emergencies when necessary
- Attend safety meetings and other related meetings
