Job Requirements
- Have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent
- Four years of work-related experience preferred
- Ability to use culinary tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to read and follow recipes written in English
- Ability to add and subtract numbers
- Ability to read, write, speak, and follow oral and written instructions in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in food service or culinary work preferred
- Ability to use culinary tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, steamers, kettles, and slicers
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to read and follow recipes written in English
- Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
- Effective communication skills in English both written and oral
Job Duties
- Prepare specified items by following recipes and culinary standards set by the chef and retail manager
- Operate industrial kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain department compliance with all state, county, and regulatory agency standards
- Perform all other assigned duties as needed
- Support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital
- Work rotating shifts including weekends to ensure consistent food service
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards consistently
