Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • 1-6 months related experience and/or training
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Serve Safe Food Handlers certificate or local Health Department license preferred
  • Basic knife skills required
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required
  • 1-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Serve Safe Food Handlers certificate preferred
  • Local Health Department license preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to menus and recipes
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Follow recipe compliance and portion control guidelines
  • Maintain quality and visual presentation of food
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
  • Assist other kitchen staff to complete duties timely
  • Provide relief to other Cook I and Food Service Worker positions as needed
