Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in kitchen or food service
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to work flexible schedules including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- Capability to stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry items
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb ladders as needed
- Ability to work in cold and hot environments
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle cash transactions
- Mental focus and stamina to perform physical tasks consistently
- Ability to work alone and handle emergency situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in kitchen or food service, preferably in convenience stores, fast food, or restaurants
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
- Food handler's certification or ability to obtain one is a plus
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food items offered in convenience store settings
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Consistency in food quality, portion sizes, and presentation
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to address and resolve food preparation or customer service issues
Job Duties
- Prepare food items by following standard recipes and ensuring that all food is cooked to order while maintaining proper portion sizes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and slicers following manufacturer instructions and food safety regulations
- Ensure all prepared food meets quality standards in taste, texture, and appearance
- Work efficiently during peak hours to ensure quick turnaround times without sacrificing quality or safety
- Follow food safety guidelines to properly store and handle ingredients, cooked items, and perishables
- Clean and sanitize kitchen tools, equipment, and workspace regularly
- Adhere to health codes and monitor for any food safety violations
- Prepare food orders accurately based on customer specifications
- Maintain positive and friendly customer interactions
- Address customer inquiries or complaints and work with management to resolve issues
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and notify management when stock is low
- Ensure proper stock rotation of perishable items to minimize waste
- Maintain organized and efficient kitchen and food storage areas
- Perform thorough cleaning duties at the end of shifts
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in training new kitchen employees
- Support overall kitchen and store operation efficiency
