Job Requirements
- Must obtain Food Handlers Certification from an ANSI accredited program
- six months full-time experience in institutional, commercial, or restaurant establishment including cooking, serving, cleaning, and sanitation or one year cashier experience in food service establishment
- satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
- non-refundable fee for certification paid by candidate
- non-refundable fee for fingerprinting paid by employee
Job Qualifications
- Food Handlers Certification from an ANSI accredited program
- six months full-time experience in institutional, commercial, or restaurant food service including cooking, serving, cleaning, and sanitation or one year cashier experience in food service establishment
- ability to follow instructions
- knowledge of principles of quantity food preparation
- knowledge of basic measurements for dry and liquid ingredients
- ability to work appropriately with others in close proximity
Job Duties
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, supper, and snack food items as assigned per manager’s staff rotation schedule
- replenish food during serving time
- clean work area and equipment
- assist manager in assuring that high sanitation standards are met
- demonstrate good customer service towards students, parents, school staff and co-workers
- work cooperatively and safely with staff and co-workers
- regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
