Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Good close and color vision
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to adjust to workplace changes
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- Ability to operate slicer and other food preparation equipment safely
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Serves customers at the Food Service counter by listening to the request and obtaining the desired product
- Answers the telephone and takes orders when necessary
- Itemizes prices for counter goods
- Proper use of slicer to cut weighable product required
- Wraps and/or boxes and labels product
- Makes sandwiches and prepares lunch and dinner specials
- Set up advertising displays or arrange merchandise on the counter and tables to promote sales
- Stocks and replenishes products, napkins, condiments, waxed paper, and any other items at the Food Service counter needed to provide excellent customer service
