Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Federal School Lunch Program and local health department regulations
  • Must possess a Michigan driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation to travel to assigned school buildings
  • Willingness to obtain required food service training
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of district policies and requirements

  • Working knowledge of Federal School Lunch Program and local health department regulations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and policies
  • Willingness to assume responsibility
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and community
  • Willingness to obtain required training including allergy training

Job Duties

  • Operate the cash register and process student meal transactions accurately
  • Assist in serving meals and maintaining a clean and orderly cafeteria environment
  • Follow all Federal School Lunch Program and local health department regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of money handling and sales
  • Order and distribute stock as needed
  • Communicate clearly with staff and students
  • Perform duties with awareness of district policies and safety standards
