Job Requirements
- Deschutes County Food Handlers Card required
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to adhere to food safety protocols
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work variable shifts including relief, swing, night and weekend shifts
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- Ability to handle cash responsibly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service, barista or customer service experience in a fast paced environment preferred
- Previous money handling experience preferred
- Ability to operate an espresso machine and make specialty coffee drinks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including email and MS Office applications
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Duties
- Prepare food products and beverages in accordance with safe food handling guidelines
- Ensure customer requests are met for special request items
- Operate espresso machine when assigned
- Provide excellent customer service at all times
- Assist caterer to execute high end catered events working as server, bartender or dishwasher
- Participate in the assembly of patient trays to meet patient diet orders
- Deliver trays to patient rooms verifying food order with the patient
- Follow all isolation precautions when delivering food
- Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets and patient restrictions
- Stock food supply areas on assigned floors
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashers or by hand
- Complete opening and closing procedures and checklists
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Use chemicals to clean and sanitize kitchen facilities
- Sort and remove trash
- Provide support to other food services areas as directed
- Comply with all applicable laws and policies
- Deliver timely and accurate customer service and patient care
- Perform additional duties as assigned
