Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred
- six months of food service or commercial dishwashing experience preferred
- ServSafe Food Handler Training Certificate Program or another ANSI-accredited Food Handler Training Certificate Program within 30 days of hire
- certification must be maintained throughout employment

Job Duties
- Follow department standards for washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and storing service ware (e.g., dishes, pots, pans, silverware, trays, utility carts)
- retrieve soiled dishware and trays from patient areas and return them to the dish room for cleaning
- ensure an adequate supply of clean trays and utensils is available in the cafeteria during mealtimes
- record the temperatures and sanitizer levels of warewashing equipment per policy
- set up, clean, and maintain food service equipment safely and hygienically
- use appropriate cleaning tools, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- maintain the cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, highchairs, and floors
- sweep and mop floors as needed, and clean up spills promptly using wet floor signage
- collect, remove, and dispose of trash and cardboard
- sanitize trash receptacles regularly
- support catering functions by delivering, retrieving, and cleaning up after events as assigned
- clean vending areas, including counters, microwaves, and floors
- provide courteous customer service to internal and external customers
- greet guests and follow the dress code
- apply service recovery methods when necessary and notify the supervisor of customer concerns
- maintain regular and reliable attendance
- perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental objectives
