Job Requirements
- Deschutes County Food Handlers Card required
- OLCC Alcohol Service Permit preferred
- ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
- must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry various weights up to 50 pounds
- good physical stamina to perform cleaning and service tasks
- excellent communication skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- capability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous food service experience preferred
- experience in barista duties and customer service in fast-paced environment preferred
- cash handling experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to operate espresso machine and prepare specialty coffee drinks
- strong communication and teamwork skills
- basic to intermediate computer skills
- ability to work independently and multitask effectively
- ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
- commitment to professional and ethical standards
Job Duties
- Prepares food products and beverages in accordance with safe food handling guidelines
- operates espresso machine when assigned
- provides excellent customer service at all times
- stocks and maintains cleanliness of café and deli areas
- performs light cooking at grill or sandwich/salad bars
- assists catering events as server, bartender, or dishwasher
- assembles and delivers patient meal trays following diet orders and safety precautions
- maintains knowledge of therapeutic diets and menu items
- stocks food supply areas on patient floors
- washes and restocks dishes, utensils, and equipment
- maintains kitchen and work areas in compliance with sanitation standards
- cleans and sanitizes surfaces and equipment
- sorts and removes trash
- supports other food services areas as directed
- follows all safety and ethical procedures in food handling and service
