Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- valid driver’s license
- basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- comfortable with driving a passenger bus and working with children
- organizational and time management skills
- basic computer knowledge to use iPad effectively
- minimum age of 18 years as per Department of Children and Families licensing rule
- ability to lift 10-25 pounds
- stand for majority of shift and safely navigate stairs as needed
- ability to bend and reach for food preparation and cleaning
- ability to operate kitchen appliances safely
- comply with all food service policies
- maintain safe and sanitary kitchen conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation
- comfortable driving a passenger bus
- experience working with children
- organizational and time management skills
- basic computer literacy including use of an iPad
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to lift between 10-25 pounds and stand for most of the shift
- adherence to safety and sanitation regulations
Job Duties
- Operate a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen
- prepare meals and snacks for service in compliance with USDA, licensing, and Encompass policies
- perform daily bus runs to transport children to and from school
- maintain knowledge of children's allergies and special dietary requirements
- ensure kitchen equipment and appliances are safely operated and sanitized
- accurately complete required reports and record keeping
- communicate food service issues and operational updates to supervisors
