Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • at least 6 months of food service experience
  • prior cashier experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • at least 6 months of food service experience
  • prior cashier experience preferred
  • knowledge of food service preparation, delivery, service, clean up, storage and cashier operations
  • skills in polite and respectful communication with patients, staff and visitors
  • skills in following directions and paying attention to details
  • ability to read, print and speak simple English sentences
  • ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
  • ability to read a clock and accurately document time
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • adhere to organizational and department safety, sanitation, confidentiality standards and values
  • exhibit excellence in customer service through appropriate attitude and interaction with visitors and staff
  • forward customer suggestions to supervisors and propose new items to improve customer satisfaction and sales
  • prepare or serve items per customers’ orders efficiently while adhering to portion control and department standards
  • receive payment for food and drinks, operate cash register, and return proper change
  • balance cash drawer daily and follow cash handling policies
  • accurately portion individual servings of entrees, starches, vegetables and side dishes
  • inspect and maintain cleanliness and proper operation of serving equipment and utensils
  • maintain required sanitary levels throughout food holding and serving process
  • store, label, date food products appropriately
  • prepare, load, transport, and clean food carts
  • perform related duties as assigned
