Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- previous food service experience preferred
- must be able to read, write and speak English
- must be able to follow directions
- must complete and provide one of the following certificates/licenses within 30 days of employment: Food Handler, Serv Safe or IL Department of Public Health license
- willingness to be open to learning and growing
- maturity of judgment and behavior
- maintains high standards for work areas and appearance
- maintains a positive attitude
- ability to work a flexible schedule helpful
- must comply with any dress code requirements
- must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays
- attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time
- significant walking or other means of mobility
- ability to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours
- ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 40 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- no previous work experience required

Job Duties
- Read recipes and product directions
- estimate food requirements
- operate kitchen utensils to weigh, measure, mix, wash, peel, cut, grind, stir, strain, season and knead foodstuffs
- assist in preparation of hot and cold foods and proper storage
- inspect workstations for compliance with service standards
- clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, utensils
- provide stocking duties in service area
- serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables
- brew coffee and tea
- restock other beverage areas as needed
- interact with customers in serving, retail and dining areas
- assist customers with opening containers and cutting food when requested
- attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
- comply with safety and risk management policies
- report accidents and injuries timely
- participate in safety meetings and trainings
- comply with HACCP policies
- attend training programs in classroom and virtual settings
- work on trayline to distribute food
- perform other assigned duties
