Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Serv-Safe certification preferred
- Desire to learn new products and recipes
- Ability to maintain a helpful, tactful, and courteous attitude
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently with limited supervision
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate register, scales, scanners, and payment terminals
- Ability to read product labels, signage, and company policies
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Physical ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to reach, bend, stand for long periods, and work in coolers and freezers
- Dexterity to operate kitchen equipment including knives, slicers, ovens, fryers
Job Qualifications

- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to operate registers, scales, scanners, and debit/credit terminals
- Strong communication skills including verbal and non-verbal
- Knowledge of deli/food service products and ingredients
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently with minimal direction
- Friendly and courteous demeanor
Job Duties
- Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards guests and team members
- Engage with guests through smiles, greetings, product information, selling suggestions, and active sampling
- Provide fast and friendly guest service
- Process cash register transactions, giving back change and refunds
- Use scale printer machines ensuring weights and pricing accuracy
- Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement including shelf tags
- Keep check stand, sales counter and production areas clean and orderly
- Prepare, wrap, box, weigh, slice, and stock deli and food service products, rotating stock to ensure quality and safety
- Prepare and cook deli/food service items including fried foods, salads, sandwiches, and hot and cold beverages
- Work safely around sharp slicers, tools, ovens, and burners
- Display products following deli and merchandising guidelines
- Take guest orders, ensure timely completion and satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager
