Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • food handling experience preferred
  • passing the required pre-placement exam
  • ability to work in a commercial food service and kitchen environment
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying and moving up to 50 pound containers
  • eligibility to pass criminal background check
  • scheduled work hours are to be determined

Job Duties

  • Assist Food Service Department staff with basic food preparation
  • maintain proper food storage
  • maintain cleanliness of food service, dining and storage areas
  • clean dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment
  • clean tables, chairs, floors and surfaces
  • receive, transport and store food according to sanitary handling standards
  • scoop bulk foods into containers, make and wrap food portions, package food orders
  • prepare dining area for meal time
  • prepare and serve meals as directed
  • count products received and shipped
  • verify quantity, quality and type of products against daily summaries and work orders
  • provide accurate and timely numbers for production and inventory
