Job Duties
- Monitor and participate in food preparation and serving according to menu specifications
- observe food quality and quantity
- assure proper food temperature
- ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
- maintain food quality standards
- record freezer and refrigerator temperatures
- prepare and assemble various food items including sandwiches, meats, salads
- set up and replenish salad bars
- maintain cleanliness in service areas
- operate cash register and perform cashiering duties
- maintain records of sales and cash collected
- train and supervise assigned food service employees and student workers
- prepare time sheets
- estimate and cost food and supplies
- receive and verify deliveries
- coordinate storage and disposal of food items
- prepare lunches and food carts for child care centers
- maintain inventory records
- operate various cafeteria equipment
- assist with catering and special event food services
- drive vehicle to transport food as needed
- perform related duties as assigned
