Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- passing pre-placement exam
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- ability to work scheduled hours from 8 AM to 3:30 PM
- willingness to work in a commercial kitchen setting with exposure to heat and cold
- successful completion of criminal background check
- ability to adhere to safety and sanitation regulations

Job Duties
- Assists the Food Service Department staff with basic food preparation
- assists with proper food storage
- maintains cleanliness of food service, dining and storage areas
- performs work within scope of authority and training in compliance with policies and standards
- cleans and maintains orderly, safe and sanitary conditions in facility
- cleans dishes, kitchen utensils and equipment
- cleans tables, chairs, floors and surfaces
- receives, transports and stores food according to sanitary handling standards
- scoops bulk foods into containers
- makes and wraps food portions
- packages food orders
- prepares dining area for meal time
- prepares and serves meals as directed
- counts products received and shipped
- verifies that quantity, quality and type of products match daily summaries and work orders
- provides accurate and timely numbers for production and inventory
