Job Requirements

  • Successfully pass FBI fingerprint clearance and obtain Level 1 fingerprint clearance card prior to or within 30 days of hire
  • Successful clearance of criminal background checks and Central Registry check in Arizona prior to or within 30 days of hire
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver license with at least 3 years of effect, meet GAP insurance requirements, and provide a 60-month safe driving record
  • Pass mandatory tuberculosis and drug screenings as required
  • Agree to flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying bags or boxes with or without assistance, kneeling, bending, stooping, standing for long periods
  • Obtain SERV Safe Manager certification prior to or within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • Follow GAP kitchens standard operating procedures
  • Sort, wash, rinse, and sanitize dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and cooking utensils
  • Sort and stack clean dishes and place them correctly in designated locations
  • Wash pots, pans, and trays manually
  • Remove trash and garbage to dumpsters or recycling or compactor
  • Set up and break down dishwashing area
  • Ensure proper temperature and maintenance of sinks and record as per SOP
  • Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Clean fridges, freezers, and food storage containers as needed
  • Deliver meals as requested including during catering events
  • Assist with setup, monitoring, and breakdown of catering events
  • Motivate and assist in leading volunteers, students and coworkers
  • Represent GAP to the public professionally
  • Teach students to properly perform tasks as directed
  • Grow personally and spiritually while maintaining professional conduct
  • Follow agency chain of command and accept constructive feedback
  • Assist with prep work as needed
  • Provide input for annual reviews
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
