Job Requirements
- Education level equivalent to high school or GED
- Up to 3 months of effective food service experience
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use measuring instruments
- Willingness to undergo background checks
- Ability to adhere to scheduled work hours, including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and equipment operation tasks
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Up to 3 months of effective food service experience
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow simple recipes and portion control
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and cleaning
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division including decimals and fractions
- Ability to interpret reports, forms, and records
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and obtain accurate temperature logs
Job Duties
- Prepare food items such as salads, baked goods, sandwiches, wraps and simple menu items as directed
- Follow simple recipes for cooking or preparing ingredients
- Set up and check dishes, utensils, signs, condiments for serving lines and food bars
- Maintain quality, freshness, and cleanliness of food bars, condiment stations, and dessert areas
- Check products to ensure standards of appearance, quality, and portion size
- Replace products that do not meet standards
- Set up food displays and decorations for daily service and special events
- Work on serving counters and food stations as needed
- Be knowledgeable about daily menus and recipe ingredients
- Ensure correct portion sizes are distributed
- Move food to and from serving counters and food bars
- Replenish and rotate stock in merchandiser displays and food bars
- Maintain food service records
- Monitor food volume prepared and leftovers
- Operate and clean kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers
- Clean refrigerators, tables, sinks, and pans
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain sanitation
- Monitor food temperatures and maintain logs
- Instruct part-time employees as necessary
- Perform general cleaning duties including floors and carpets
- Take orders and operate cash registers
- Make change as required
