Job Requirements

  • General high school degree or GED or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of entry-level managerial leadership experience in food production, shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment
  • Ability to be certified and trained at an intermediate level in OSHA, HACCP, and food hygiene
  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to operate various production equipment
  • Good understanding of English
  • Ability to work in cold or damp environments and stand for extended periods
  • Must be 18 or older for machinery and equipment use
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and warehouse management systems
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to lead, assign duties, and manage workflow for a shift or in the absence of a supervisor
  • Ability to work with routine and monotonous processes

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Ability to be certified and trained at an intermediate level in OSHA, HACCP, and food hygiene
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and assign duties to other employees and manage workflow and production for a shift or in the absence of the supervisor
  • Ability to operate a variety of production equipment
  • Ability to work routine and monotonous processes
  • Good understanding of English, bilingual Spanish speaking skills a plus
  • Ability to work in a cold or damp environment and stand for extended periods
  • 1-2 years of entry-level managerial leadership experience in a food production, shipping and receiving, or warehouse environment
  • Work experience in food production or food manufacturing preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and knowledgeable with warehouse management systems
  • Clear and concise communicator both verbally and in writing
  • General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 18 or older as required for machinery and/or equipment utilization

Job Duties

  • Assign associates to appropriate work areas, lines, and/or equipment based on production and shift requirements
  • Monitor the use of temporary staffing to meet production needs in the absence of supervisors
  • Create and modify team members' work schedules in conjunction with the supervisor or during their absence
  • Actively work to resolve problems with team members and provide both positive feedback and constructive criticism
  • Train and act as a resource to associates on techniques, equipment, and processes
  • Receive, ship, and/or assemble food products or meals according to specifications and health and safety standards
  • Enforce good manufacturing practices, use of personal protective equipment, and quality and proper documentation of processes
  • Enforce the clean-as-you-go policy and practices
  • Utilize personal cell-phone devices for communication when required
  • Account for employee productivity, identify issues with product, food safety, quality, or equipment and escalate when necessary
  • Monitor shift operations and production
  • Oversee operational performance for assigned work areas
  • Account for accurate inventory levels, labor costs, and production reports
  • Analyze operational and production situations effectively
