Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Availability to work 12-20 hours per week including weekends
  • Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service
  • Strong communication skills
  • Pass background check and drug test

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Experience in high-volume customer-facing environments, preferably in food service or restaurant settings
  • Experience in high-volume retail with knowledge of merchandising and selling concepts preferred
  • Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to follow operational and safety procedures
  • Team player with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept
  • Adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
  • Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain equipment operation through adherence to operating guidelines, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
  • Ensure cleanliness and supply rotation in compliance with Food Safety Standards
  • Manage the Swedish Food Market by overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and sanitation
  • Communicate accurate pricing across food solutions including digital platforms
  • Implement IKEA Food policies for goods receiving and inventory
  • Report food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation concerns promptly
  • Contribute to an inclusive IKEA culture embracing diversity
