  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • background check clearance required
  • food sanitation or food handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • two-step TB test required
  • experience operating kitchen equipment in a safe manner required

  • previous waitstaff experience preferred
  • demonstrated ability to comprehend and follow instructions
  • demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing

Job Duties

  • assist cook with food preparation
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines and food service requirements in accordance with regulatory, licensing, and agency standards
  • prepare table in dining areas
  • serve tables before, during and after meal service
  • assist in care and cleaning of dining room and kitchen areas, utensils, equipment, and supplies
  • demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner
