Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- experience in cooking, preferably quantity cooking
- preferred experience working with children
- preferred first aid knowledge
- clean personal record with no history of child abuse or neglect
- maintain personal hygiene suitable for food service
- able to maintain a driver’s license and operate a vehicle
- ability to practice good human relations and work habits
- capable of working without close supervision and accepting supervision
- maintain confidentiality
- physical presence required at work
- able to lift and carry heavy objects
- able to stand for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- experience in cooking, preferably quantity cooking
- experience working with children preferred
- knowledge of first aid preferred

Job Duties
- prepare and serve food to students in cafeteria
- perform general kitchen duties
- carry out light maintenance duties
- cook food according to menus and dietary restrictions
- clean and inspect kitchen equipment and work areas
- bake breads, rolls, and pastries
- prepare fruits, vegetables, salads, desserts, and side dishes
- assume Food Service Supervisor responsibilities if needed
- assist in maintaining food inventories and stocking supplies
- apportion and serve food to students and staff
- assist in washing dishes, cleaning appliances, and kitchen facilities
- assist in trash removal and shopping as required
- participate in on-going personal and food safety training
- perform other duties as assigned
