  • Possess a good working knowledge of all restaurant functions
  • ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in high paced and stressful environments

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with warm smile and professional demeanor
  • maintain detailed knowledge of menu and wine list including ingredients and preparation
  • answer questions about menu items and provide information on diet items and specials
  • suggest appropriate wines and beverages to complement meals
  • maintain awareness of items that the kitchen may be running out of
  • inform guests about preparation and serving times
  • relay orders accurately to kitchen ensuring recipe adherence
  • check orders for accuracy and portion before serving
  • prepare drinks as per customer instructions and serve promptly
  • ask guests if they need anything else with their order
  • assist cashier in preparing and delivering checks
  • take payment and provide change
  • clear, clean, and bus tables properly before next guests
  • adhere to responsible alcohol service and consumption laws
  • communicate with Maître D when leaving or finishing workstation
  • complete assigned side work
  • notify Maître D or manager of any guest concerns
  • attend training sessions and retain knowledge
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
