Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor, escort them to their tables, and create a positive first impression
  • Provide attentive and personalized service, taking orders accurately and efficiently, and responding promptly to guest requests and inquiries
  • Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices
  • Offer recommendations for beverages, appetizers, main courses, and desserts to enhance the dining experience
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals to guests, maintaining appropriate pacing for an enjoyable dining experience
  • Communicate any special requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions to the kitchen team
  • Present a diverse range of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, with an emphasis on quality and presentation
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and verify the legal drinking age of guests when serving alcoholic beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, chairs, and dining areas, promptly clearing empty dishes, glassware, and utensils
  • Set tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, and linens according to established standards
  • Regularly check with guests to ensure their satisfaction with the food and service, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally
  • Resolve any guest issues or complaints effectively, escalating matters when necessary
  • Present bills accurately and professionally to guests, handle payment transactions securely, and provide excellent customer service during the payment process
  • Work in harmony with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure seamless service and a cohesive dining experience
  • Assist colleagues during peak times and support team members as needed
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary
