Job Requirements
- Highly motivated and energetic personality
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English both written and oral
- Thorough knowledge of wine, beverage, and food service including wine service, champagne, mixed cocktails, cordials, after dinner drinks, and upselling
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required licensing or active work cards for this position
- Willingness to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
- Possession or ability to possess a valid TAM card
- Possession or ability to possess a health card
- Experience in bottle service preferred but not required
- Ability to consistently deliver exceptional service and entertain professionally
- Maintain clean and hygienic workstation meeting Clark County Health Standards
- Ability to maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment consistently
- Adherence to company safety policies
- Consistently maintain well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene as defined by management
- Makeup, technique and style should align with current fashion standards as per management
- Ability to maintain warm, positive and friendly dialogue with guests at all times
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years previous work experience as a food server in a lounge or fine-dining restaurant
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Proficient in POS software
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of wine service, champagne, mixed cocktails, cordials, after dinner drinks, and upselling
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and a well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and acknowledge celebrations, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special notes listed in guest's reservation
- Possess working knowledge of characteristics and descriptions of every wine and champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list
- Know designated glassware, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes for each drink
- Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing proper procedures standardized by room management
- Take food and beverage orders and carry out wine and beverage service
- Perform table maintenance by checking on guests throughout service
- Complete opening and closing side work
- Maintain health code standards
- Maintain table cleanliness using a silent service approach
- Handle guest checks and related financial transactions accurately
- Bid farewell to guests using their names when known and encourage return visits
- Maintain professionalism and anticipate guest needs with urgency
- Work as a team assisting guests and employees
- Perform other job-related duties as requested
- Be familiar with hotel services, features, and local attractions to respond to inquiries
- Maintain complete knowledge of liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections
- Complete opening side duties including stocking and inspecting service areas
- Input orders into POS system quickly and accurately
- Ensure guests have an elevated experience in both dining room and lounge
- Adapt service according to guest type in lounge environment
