Job Requirements
- Minimum age as per legal requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents and team members
- Commitment to adhere to community policies including vaccination preference
- Physical ability to carry trays and perform cleaning duties
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to complete all assigned duties and side work on schedule
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Provide fast, efficient, friendly service to everyone
- Know the daily and weekly menus and maintain positive, enthusiastic descriptions of food
- Take residents orders, gather drinks and appetizers in the pantry, and serve items in a timely manner
- Keep tables clear of dirty dishes and remain available to residents
- Ensure residents receive entrees and desserts promptly
- Check on residents at least three times during their visit to ensure satisfaction
- Buss and reset assigned section and complete daily side work
- Take on pantry, hostess, or expo duties as needed
- Be a team player
- Avoid personal conversations while serving residents
- Maintain proper appearance and order of section before and after serving
- Use time effectively to complete duties on schedule
- Understand and work toward achieving community goals
- Correct all deficiencies promptly
